NoteLinker can only access the specific pages or databases you select during the Notion authorization step. It cannot read or modify anything else in your workspace.

Can I use an existing Notion database or do I need to start fresh?

You can use any existing database. Just make sure it has the required properties: "Client Email" (email type), "Sync to HubSpot" (checkbox type), and "Notes" (text type for note syncing). You can add these properties to an existing database without losing any data.

What happens if the email does not match a HubSpot contact?

If no matching contact exists in HubSpot, NoteLinker will create a new contact with that email address automatically.

Yes. The Deal Name property in Notion must match the name of an existing deal in HubSpot exactly. If multiple deals share the same name, the most recently created one will be used.
